I think the Mid Missouri Home and Lifestyle Expo was much better for us this year. WE met several new people and hopefully we will end up with some new clients from it. There were some busy times and some very slow times, like during the Mizzou and ku game. I think they need to make some changes for next year but they are certainly taking steps in the right direction. I believe that in time it can have the turnout that it did years ago.

I wanted to let everyone know that if you are thinking about a project for the spring, don't wait until spring to call a contractor. Good contractors stay scheduled out a few weeks to a few months. Plan a head and start the process early. At Majestic we are scheduling jobs for April right now. Some projects like kitchens can have a 4-8 week lead time on some materials. Smaller jobs we can always work in to our schedule but larger projects need to planned well in advance.

Here is a picture of a bad flange seal. You can see how it would just let rain water leak in your home. By checking these for damage it could save you alot of money and time later. Let me know if you have any questions.

Just a quick tip for you home owners. Be sure to check the rubber seals on the vent flanges on your roofs. The rubber seals get brittle and crack and let water leak into your attic. By the time the water shows up on your ceiling you could have more damage in the attic. When the insulation gets wet, it can cause mold to start growing on the back side of your sheetrock long before it is noticeable on the front side. They make replacement rubber seals that are very easy to install. If you are unable to get on your roof give us a call and we can do a roof inspection for you
